Parts I completed: pink tabard, purple velvet robe^

This project was my first attempt at working with velvet - definitely a more challenging material than I anticipated! The pink tabard was made first, then the robe. The tabard is made from a rayon blend and self-lined, then stitched by hand to the collar of the robe. The robe collar is interfaced with red edge linen. The robe has a centered invisible zipper at the back and is lined with silk.
